Retirement planning is often on our minds because we want to ensure we continue to have adventures well into our golden years.  At this point we have determined there are three viable options available to us for our retirement:

  • Retirement Plan A states that I can hang up my working hat at the ripe old age of 58 and enjoy a lovely adventurous retirement. This of course assumes that the world doesn’t go to hell, that my pension plan hasn’t been de-valued and our house doesn’t burn down.
  • Retirement Plan B is to win the lottery – this hasn’t proved very successful yet (perhaps due to limited ticket purchasing).
  • Fortunately, while in Riga Latvia we discovered: Retirement Plan C- busking!
Retirement: Plan C
I think the beading really adds to the outfit. And the white shoes.
Retirement: Plan C
Full 360 degree turn. She was making WAY more than the cute kids busking.
Retirement: Plan C
Perhaps not the most nimble, but certainly full of personality!

As you can see, Plan C does require some initial investments. Matt and I are looking for dancing lessons and lace making classes. Matching beaded outfits will need to be sourced as well. Finally, we will need to ramp up our personal fitness plan to ensure that the nimble moves we are capable of right now can compete with this gem of a busker. I If you have any recommendations of how we can compete please send our way.

We will also happily take winning lottery tickets.
